Will the built-in SD card reader on my HP Envy x360 laptop 15-ed0010ca support MicroSD cards or just SD cards?
Nothing happens When I insert my MicroSD card with the adapter in the slot. I see the SDXC card when I go to the device manager and disk drives. However, it does not have a drive letter assigned in disk management. I can't assign a drive letter when I right-click and choose that option. The error message says my disk management console isn't up to date, but when I refresh and try again, I get the same message. And after I restart my computer.
I've tried updating my drivers, but the drivers that HP support recommends will not work because it says they aren't for my OS. I believe it is giving me updates for Windows 10 OS, but it will not allow me to change to Windows 11.
-My MicroSD card may have been corrupted. The ZTE phone that I had it in said as much. However, it remains now that I've reformatted it and tried to see if the same issue happens. The MicroSD card is a Lexar 633x microSDXC card.

Its specs

It has 1 multi-format SD media card reader (not microSD) but microSD cards (inside an adapter) should work.
Does it work with a NORMAL SD card ? If yes, your adapter could be faulty.
Regards.
