I figured out the problem. I uninstalled the touchpad driver. Then the both keyboards and internal touchpad started to work like before.

 

I searched for the driver using my notebook´s product number on the driver support page and downloaded a newer touchpad driver. Maybe I had chosen the wrong one.

 

EDIT: The driver worked after re-install. Sorry for the failure reply!

Glad you figured it out.

 

I would have never guessed that uninstalling the touchpad driver would knock out the keyboard function.
