Hello HP Support, I am experiencing a recurring issue with my HP Stream 2 laptop charging indicator. The laptop itself works perfectly fine. It powers on normally, the battery works, and there are no performance problems. However, whenever I leave the laptop plugged in after reaching full charge (100%), the charging indicator starts blinking white continuously. The blinking does not stop even if: - I unplug the charger - Shut down the laptop - Turn the laptop off completely The white light keeps blinking continuously until I perform certain reset methods. This is not the first time this has happened. Previously, I was able to temporarily fix the issue using methods such as: - Uninstalling battery drivers - Disconnecting and reconnecting the internal battery connector - Fully draining the battery to 0% until the laptop powers off - Holding the power button for around 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery These methods used to stop the blinking and return the laptop to normal temporarily. However, the issue now returns immediately after restarting the laptop. For example, the 60-second reset may stop the blinking temporarily, but once I restart the system, the blinking white light starts again. Additional details: - Orange light appears when actively charging - White blinking usually starts after the battery reaches full charge or is left plugged in for a long time - The battery percentage currently stays around 95–100% - The laptop itself still functions normally I would appreciate guidance on whether this may be: - an Embedded Controller (EC) issue, - BIOS/firmware problem, - charging controller issue, - or battery communication problem. Please also advise whether a BIOS update or EC reset procedure is recommended for this model. Thank you.
