Example: Hp Pavilion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have somehow deleted an operating system ( Windows 10 ) and now reinstalled windows 10 onto my laptop via a USB stick. However, no options show when selecting a driver to install windows 10. Is there a site where I can install my drivers on another laptop and carry it via USB stick to the laptop needed for the windows 10 installation.  Would help alot, thanks.

Hi:

I recommend that you use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

This is a factory image of your PC's drive configuration, so it should have all of the necessary drivers for windows to see the drive.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

Alright, I have checked the cloud recovery tool and it seems my laptop is not supported. My laptop’s model is 14-ba103TU and I have searched for the drivers. Could you double check for me which driver I would need downloaded for my problem. I appreciate your support. 10/10 customer service.

Hi:

I looked up the specs on your notebook and the M.2 SSD it has is a SATA model.

W10 should have the storage controller drivers needed to find the drive.

According to the cloud recovery tool website, your notebook is supported.

YOU ARE A LIFESAVER! I got confused because I originally thought you should remove the hashtag part. It seems I was wrong. Thank you so much! I will get back to you if any failures occur.

  1. Slight concern with using the cloud recovery tool. I am downloading the tool on a seperate laptop onto a USB stick and hoping to use the USB stick for my “broken” laptop. Does the laptop that is downloading the Hp recovery tool lose their files and have to restart or is the information only being transferred to the USB. Appreciate your time.

Hi:

Using the cloud recovery tool to create a bootable recovery drive on another PC will have no effect on that PC.

I have made cloud recovery USB's on 3 different PC's and had no issues whatsoever.

The tool will run, put the image on the USB flash drive and notify you when it is completed or if it failed.

You will not be asked to restart the PC you are using the tool on.

All you need to do when it is done is to safely eject the USB flash drive.
