How can i know if the drivers i am installing are correct for my PC or are preinstalled or their version is correct?
after the reset was complete i saw just two things installed in my control panel :-
Synaptic pointer driver
and a Realtek high definition audio driver
even though i could see nvidia and intel graphics panel, i don't see that listed in control panel
so how can i know if any other driver my be preinstalled

Hold down the windows key and tap the X key. Now click on Device Manager. That will invoke the device manager window.
Look in the device manager to see if there are any devices without a driver installed.

Thanks for the Link. It took me a lot of time but i was able to get back all the drivers that came preinstalled with my Laptop.
But I could not get the other applications that were preinstalled
like the HP recovery manager, or Foxit PhantomPDF(Pro version)
Now how can i get these back.

If you have a usb recovery flashdrive or recovery disk set, then you do not need to reinstall the HP Recovery Manager. You can use one or the other to renistall the original OS.
BTW, the Recovery Manager is only for the originally installed operatng system, not for Windows 10 if youy had Windows 8 installed when you took delivery of your notebook.
For Foxit PhantomPDF(Pro version) you will have to find an installer elsewhere.
