Hello All,
I have a Spectre x360 13-4101dx and in need of assistance with installing missing drivers. I upgraded the solid state to a 480GB drive and windows 7. However when I look for drivers for this machine only windows 10 drivers appear. I understand that the laptop os originally is win10 and that is what i still have running on the stock SSD but I have mutliple programs that only run on win7. There are only a few drivers I am missing such as Wireless Network Controller and the Touchpad for multitouch I believe from Synaptics? There are a couple others like PCI device and USB controller but the touchpad and wireless are big deals for me. So my main question is:
Does anyone know where I can download/install drivers for a HP Spectre X360 13-4101dx that will work with windows7 OS?
Thanks for your help
-Joe

Hi:
You can try the W7 x64 drivers and software from the HP Probook 450 G2 business notebook on your model, except the BIOS and firmware files.
https://support.hp.com/th-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-450-g2-notebook-pc/6943826
From that model's support page...
USB:
This package contains the Intel USB 3.0 Driver for Intel 8 and U/Y Series Products for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69501-70000/sp69862.exe
PCI Dev:
The Realtek USB and PCIe Media Card Reader Drivers enable the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79501-80000/sp79521.exe
Wireless:
This package provides the driver to support the Intel 7260/3160 Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71601.exe
Bluetooth:
This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating systems.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77001-77500/sp77324.exe
You can use the touchpad driver from your own model's support page as that also contains the W7 drivers too.
This package provides the driver that enables the Synaptics TouchPad in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The driver enables general touchpad functionality (for example double-tap and scroll) and provides a user interface.

Hello Paul,
Thank you so much for your response. As I was researching solutions I did manage to get the Touchpad working and now that I see your response looks like we found the same driver. However you went above and beyond as to find the PCI and USB drivers. Bluetooth I had no issue but nice to see that there is something available.
Unfortunately the Wireless driver you found and the 3 I tried failed. I still do not have wireless cabablilities on this machine. I looked at my Device Manager and there is no Wireless Network Adapter showing. The driver Network Controller is still says not installed. Do you think there is a compatible driver that I could use from another HP or maybe Intel has the driver for win7OS?
Thanks Again for your help

You're very welcome.
I took a guess on the wifi driver based on the product spes.
It will be easy to give you the right wifi driver if you post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.
Then I will post the link to the correct wifi driver you need...
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID:

Thanks for the tip on the Hardware ID I followed the procedure in the link and it came back with 4 lines
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_095A&SUBSYS_50108086&REV_50
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_095A&SUBSYS_50108086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_095A&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_095A&CC_0280
In the link there was only 2 lines but the process only showed installing the first line Hardware ID. Would that be all I need?
