Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Recently with the help of the community recovered windows 7 to my laptop as had a new hard drive installed. Previously system had been upgrade to 10 free of charge but Microsoft now not allowing free upgrade. Wondered if anyone has had same issue ?

Hi:

 

If you want to upgrade back to W10, click on the blue 'Update Now' button at the link below. If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

 

You could have clean installed W10 for free by using the Media creation tool at the link below to create a bootable USB installation flash drive.

 

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

 

There was no need to reinstall W7 in order to upgrade back to W10.
