Envy 13 x360 ag0002na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I seem to be unable to set-up Windows Hello facial recognition on my Envy x360 laptop after performing a fresh install of Windows (Version 20H2). in the sign in options on the Windows settings app I get the prompt 'This option is currently unavailable' .

I have tried installing the IR Camera drivers from HP's support portal, but the only versions I can install are for Windows 1803 and before, newer versions give an error saying that my Windows version is not supported (latest driver version listed states it supports Windows 1903). I have also tried installing drivers through Windows update, clearing my TPM, searching for drivers using Device Manager, and uninstalling and reinstalling the device software on Device Manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to solve this by going to the installers extracted files ('C:/SWsetup/...' for me), changing the access permissions for install.cmd to allow everyone to modify the file, and then changing the line:

IF /I [%os_ver] EQU [<windows build number>] echo ...

to:

IF /I [%os_ver] EQU [10.0.18362] echo...

After this, running setup.exe (not HPSetup) as administrator will launch the driver installer without issue and will install the drivers correctly.
