Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My OS is 32 or 64. I don't know how to find that. I have installed 13 apps on my new notebook and the storage is full. I can't download anything. I have read that you can add an sd card for additional storage. How do I do that? I've gotten rid of a few apps and do the disc clean-up daily, but nothing really helps. I am a novice user who searches the internet and I store photos of the grandkids. My apps are news and facebook/messenger. So far this thing doesn't do me much good. Any advice?

On the left side is a card slot.

You put one of these in the card slot. An SD card you can buy at any office or camera store.

To insert a card: Hold the card label-side up, with connectors facing the slot, insert the card into the slot, and then push in on the card until it is firmly seated. To remove a card: Press in on the card it until it pops out

Once the card is in the slot it will show up as a device and you need to give it a drive letter, generally 😧

After that, you can move all the files in your libraries (documents, pictures, etc) and your downloads folder to the SD card. This tells how generally:

This says Windows 8 but the process is similar in Windows 10. This is also helpful:

And this:

When you install an application, many of them will give you the choice where to install during the process. By default they want to install in C:\program files. Put a program files folder on the SD card and then you can direct program installs to the SD card where you are given the option. You might even uninstall some of the ones you already have and reinstall them on SD card.
