OMEN by HP Transcend 16 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-u1000 (8N9K4AV)

I am currently using a laptop with the Advanced Optimus performance feature. However, when I check the option to use only the GPU in the Nvidia control panel, the screen freezes or the system crashes, and it automatically switches back to Optimus. When I set the BIOS to Discrete and boot, I encounter a black screen, though I can hear the Windows boot sound and the fans are functioning normally. In an attempt to resolve this, I had the motherboard replaced twice while I was in Korea, but even after the repair, I can use the GPU ONLY option for just one day, and the same issue reoccurs the next day. Additionally, when I completely uninstall the graphics card using DDU and reinstall it, I can check the GPU ONLY option for just one day, and again, the issue reappears the following day. No one has been able to provide a clear answer to this problem. Even HP has only repeated the same thing without offering a solution. I’ve run a full diagnostic check using HP's diagnostic system, and no hardware issues were found. Please, I need your help.

The BIOS is currently at the latest version, but the same symptoms persist

Hey, thank you for the response.

Could you check the Windows update? Go to settings > windows update > advanced options > optional updates and install all the updates.

Next, I suggest you use the DDU again to remove the drivers completely and install the latest drivers using the NVIDIA app > restart the unit and check if the issue persists.

Take care and have a good day.
