I’ve been trying to update windows and after a few minutes of a black screen and automatic repair, a blue screen show up with 2 choices, to turn off my pc or advanced options. In advanced options I can reset my pc (which I DON’T WANT TO DO THAT) or use a external device which I dont have. So I dont know what to do. Is there any other way to fix this without having to erase everything in my pc?

Hello @Andreadelgadorb

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

The answer to the above question depends on what kind of Windows Update you were installing - was it some simple monthly update or it was a feature upgrade (like installing the latest build 1809 ) ?

If it was a "simple" regular monthly update and not a feature upgrade, try "turning back time" by using SYSTEM RESTORE.

Please, perform "System Restore" first in an attempt to fix the issue. Please, restore back to previous days (restore point) where the issue was not present. Here is more info:

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. Provide your feedback/reply.
