I'm not quite sure what you mean...' if suspended by hp.'

 

Below is the link to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook.

HP G42-458TU Notebook PC Software and Driver Details

 

It was written to be run using Windows XP, or Windows 7.

 

Update the BIOS in W10 at your own risk.
