Hi @christian1789

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Totally hear you—when apps feel more like clutter than companions, it’s natural to want a cleaner setup. If you’re not using My HP or HP AI Companion, you can absolutely uninstall them without affecting your system’s core functionality.

Here’s how to do it safely:

🧹 Step-by-Step Uninstall Guide

Open Settings
Press Windows + I to launch Settings.

Go to Installed Apps
Navigate to Apps > Installed Apps.

Find the App
Scroll or search for My HP and HP AI Companion.

Uninstall
Click the three-dot menu next to each app and select Uninstall.
Confirm when prompted.

🧠 A Quick Note

These apps are designed to offer device-specific tips, diagnostics, and AI features—but if they’re not adding value for you, removing them won’t hurt anything.

You can always reinstall them later from the Microsoft Store if needed.
