HP ENVY Laptop 13-ah0001na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all! I got an unknown issue. My product is an envy laptop 13-ah0001na. I found that it cannot go to sleep mode when closing lid with plug-in. When closing lid, it just turned off the srceen, but was still running, and I don't need to unlock it when opening lid again. However, it worked well when using the batterry mode. I didn't install any updates recently, and I didn't change the setting of closing-lid action. All settings looked good but it happened suddenly. Many thanks for your help.

Issue has been solved. Probably some apps enabled the away mode. I just went to the registry editor and changed the value of "AwayModeEnabled" from 1 to 0. Steps:

1. open the registry editor;

2. find the AwayModeEnabled by Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power.

3. right click the AwayModeEnabled and select Modify, and then input 0 in the field of Value data. select OK and it's done.

a typo, should be "lid" not "lip".
