Hi @Tinker55,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
It sounds like you're trying to change the email address associated with your HP account but encountered a message saying you need to release it from your account first. To resolve this issue, you may need to follow these steps:
- Log in to your HP account using your current email address.
- Look for an option to manage your account settings or profile.
- Locate the section where you can manage email addresses.
- If there's an option to release the email address, select it and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once you've released the email address, try adding your current email address again.
If you're unable to find the option to release the email address or if you encounter any difficulties, you may need to contact HP phone support. They will help you via remote assistance.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
