Hi @EstherMitzner

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your HP laptop freezes during Zoom meetings or while browsing the internet, the issue may be related to outdated drivers, high system resource usage, overheating, browser issues, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Uninstall drivers.

  • Outdated drivers can cause freezing during video calls.
  • Go to Device Manager → Expand Display adapters → Right-click your graphics driver → Select uninstall driver.
  • Restart the Unit.

Adjust Video Settings in Zoom

  • In Zoom: Go to Settings → Video → Disable HD video and Touch up my appearance.
  • In Teams: Go to Settings → Devices → Turn off Background effects.

Close Background Apps

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • End tasks that are consuming high CPU or memory before starting your meeting.

Update Printer Network Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, tap the Wireless icon.
  • Go to Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Select your new Wi‑Fi network from the list.
  • Enter the Wi‑Fi password carefully.
  • Confirm connection — the wireless light should turn solid blue.

Perform a Clean Boot

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  • On the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  • On the Startup tab, open Task Manager and disable all startup items.
  • Restart the laptop and test Zoom and web browsing.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
