Hi:

Your notebook is not officially supported by HP for W10 since it was made prior to August of 2013.

HP products tested with Windows 10 | HP® Customer Support

No W10 drivers have been released for your notebook from HP.

That doesn't necessarily mean your PC can't run W10.

If you are running W7 now and want to see if you can upgrade to W10, here is how you can do it:

Make a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below:

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

You will need an 8 GB USB flash drive for this.

It will be easier for you to create the installation media on another PC running W10 or W11 because the tool no longer works on W7 or W8.1 unless you make some registry changes as indicated at the link below.

After you create the bootable installation flash drive, do not boot from it.

Have your notebook running and at the Windows desktop.

Plug the USB flash drive in your PC's USB port and open the flash drive in Windows explorer.

You will see a list of files on the flash drive.

Double-click to run the Setup application to begin the upgrade process to W10.

You have 10 days to go back to W7 if things do not work correctly on W10 as long as you don't delete any of the upgrade files or the Windows.old folder.
