when I try to install HP hardware diagnostics UEFI update on HP Support Assistant it keeps multiplying how can I fix this

Hello,
Try to download the package manually and then run it to install it. Eventually follow the on-screen instructions.
Here is a download link -> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp116001-116500/sp116309.exe
Finally, when ready, reboot (restart) your computer - here is how to do it -> https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/4-ways-to-restart-and-shut-down-on-windows-10.html
Eventually, check how it goes.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I think I'm going to just go with using the HP Support Assistant as was recommended. Downloading ALL those updates manually is a bit much for me {a dinosaur as my wife refers to me]. My laptop does work fine [so far] with or w/o the downloads being actually downloaded.
