Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

new machine- new problem - dv7-6169nr - rebuilt machine and after

replacing a hinge and  top cover, started it up and everything looked good- my wife was using it and lately we are getting a GREEN screen on startup and inbetween some operations

there is no error message and the theme is set on blue color - in the control panel there are 3 hi contrast settings- On my office machine they are different colors---onthe 6169 the 3 are all GREEN - updated one of 3 AMD video drivers so far and now that i think about it --this unit has been idle for a long time so im going to check make sure upates is on and see what happens --------------any direction will be appreciated

DAY 2- UPDATED ALL THE AMD DRIVERS - STILL GREEN ON START UP AND IN BETWEEN PAGE CHANGES - RAN RESTORE FROM SEGMENT ON COMPUTER - STILL GREEN ---------------WELL, NOW WHAT-------------

Day 3- Stop and think - pressing the power button lights up the screen GREEN to start with - so naturally the start up of windows is all green but once iwindows loads  --ah ha---regular colors and copy ---- loading a page is good except there is a flash of green as the page changes ---doesnt appear windows is at fault for sure --?????

Day 4- As a quick test for now,  started system in Safe Mode  .It still does go to green so seems likely a hardware problem. Cant think of anything else except new LCD display????

Day 6 - ran thru all the recommended posibilities - no change

TODAY - hookup to ext monitor and switch  display to projector ---WOW no more green screen

Note replaced the top cover b4 when refurbishing so going to check the screen connections

WELL NOTHING WRONG WITH OPERATION WHICH LEAVES THE LCD SCREEN - I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THIS IS POSSIBLE

WILL SOMEONE VOICE AN OPINION  ??? THANKS

Mine is a ProBook 640 G2, the problem is, the green is glitching and the logo does appear, it just wont boot at all, it is stuck on the logo..... this may be a big suggestion towards hacking but also corruption in the CMOS and BIOS, I do hope I can get a clean fix towards this......
