so my question is how to open my laptop and add new RAM i want to upgrade to 2 8gb ram strips

Not having access to this model, I have to presume two limitations: (1) there is no access panel for the memory sticks, and (2) the case is not held together with screws such that the back can be easily removed.

 

If those are true, you have to PRY the case apart -- and that voids any warranty -- so we are not permitted to assist you with that.

Hi,

Yes, you can upgrade to max 32 GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM even if service manual mentions 16GB

So 2x8GB will work well.

On page 43 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade the RAM.
