Hi,
In that case, you can install the missing file directly from Microsoft on the following link - note that you should install both the x64 and x86 versions.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
When done, restart the notebook and then run the DriveGuard installer again.

Hi,
Try the following.
Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'. From the new layout, select Programs and Features.
Click on Turn Windows features on or off in the left hand pane.
When this window has loaded, enter a checkmark against .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) then click Ok and follow through the procedure to install this.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, download the installer for HP CoolSense on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp67501-68000/sp67743.exe
When the download has completed, open your Downloads folder, right click the CoolSense installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.
If this completes Ok, restart the notebook.

DP-K

Hi,
With reference to my initial post, did the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) install correctly?
What error messages are you receiving when running the CoolSense installer?

Hi,
This is a peer to peer forum - you'll need to post reponses to this thread - be sure to include error messages etc and also whether the .NET Framework version mentioned in my original post installed Ok.
For convenience, see my original response below.

Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'. From the new layout, select Programs and Features.

Hi,
The error showing in your screenshot is related to HP 3D DriveGuard, not CoolSense.
Try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall - don't worry if you get an error message at this stage, just continue.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, download and install the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp67001-67500/sp67280.exe
