hi. my laptop hp g6 has the bios screen at every boot up.

does it need a bios battery like a desktop pc?

yes its 5 years old.

There are few generations of machines called HP G6. Normally CMOS (or RTC) batteries for notebooks are the same for desktops BUT they have cable and double-sided tape.

 

We need to know EXACTLY what is your machine to be able to tell you the right part. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:
