hi

This is a driver that is installed by windows update (optional).

HP Development Company LP - SoftwareCompany 8.10.23.1

On my Zbook power G7, apart from problems with memory and shutdown, I have problems with the keys :

(F1) Project Screen

(F8) Microphone (on/0ff)

(F12) HP Programmable Key

did not work, but when I reverted the version everything went back to normal.

Thanks for that info!

I rolled back the driver and re-enabled the Hotkey Service. All seems well.

Yes, my problem was solved by rolling back the driver as described previously in this thread.

Hi,

I have this exact problem and the rollback option is greyed out and i can't seem to find the previous driver version to download from anywhere.

Does anyone have a link to the older driver version??

I'm not going to lie with all the other issues i've been having with Windows 11 i really wish i'd not upgraded, Windows 10 was brilliant, looks like we're back to the bad old days of Microsoft releasing half baked pointless crap like Vista/WinME.

Thanks in advance! Dean

Download from the following link , select the first one in the list

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=HP%20Development%20Company%20%208.10.14.1%20

If you click on the file cab, it does not install, Then use the program 7-zip or similar and open the file cab and unzip in a folder. Then  update the driver and with the path to the folder and select the file   find HpqKbSoftwareCompnent.inf  and install.

I rather say it good to find this post. I think I have the same issue with my Device. What actually happened is when I using my device, sometime it's running smoothly and and sometime it get harder like it's fan start hard sound. But I don't know why it's happening with my device. Gold. This is not happen once time it's happening daily on device. As it's because of load or something else happening with my device?

Would be happy to find solution for this.

Thank you!!!

Version 8.10.23.1 works just fine with my ZBook Firefly 14 G7. On the other hand, the memory leak happens on almost every boot on my Elitebook 840 G4. Delayed start of the service makes no difference. Both are fully up to date with Windows and BIOS updates.

Reverting to an older version of the driver fixes things.
