Thank you my friend, you have the solution.
I had wasted months corresponding with Sunil at HP UK who actually told me to reinstall Windows!
I eventually fixed this myself on 4/4/22 after using your roll back method, even telling Sunil I had done so.
However, Sunil did not take note and last night HP Auto-updated my PC, undoing the roll back in the process. Guess what? Same problems with Outlook, Word, etc.
Therefore, I just had to roll back again.
Why are HP always so slow at fixing their own mess? And why do they always tell you it's your own PC's fault and that you should reinstall Windows? Do they not realise how much time that takes? People are busy and stressed.
Thanks again.

Update: actually I spoke to soon...
The recent HP Bios update that I installed yesterday has ruined my PC: Outlook & Word running extremely slow. Cannot open large Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
Why do HP keep releasing damaging updates? Any suggestions on a fix please?

Since installing the HP Bios Update literally forced upon me on 1sy May 2022, I cannot open large PDFs, Outlook runs slow, and so does Word. I have an important legal deadline tomorrow and will now likely miss it. Total disaster.
