With Win10, I have several different PCs, all connecting to HP printers, and I have found that the default Microsoft tools work poorly, if at all.

In ALL cases, I removed the default MS stuff for the printers and replaced that with the HP Full Feature software and drivers packages for Win10 for each printer -- and have not had any problems, since.

However, I detest Win10 hosing up my PC by overwriting perfectly-functioning drivers!  So, I have disabled Driver Updates through Windows Updates on ALL my Win10 PCs by following these directions:  http://www.winbeta.org/news/windows-10-how-blocking-automatic-reinstall-driver-or-update-windows-10
