Hello @hari107 ,

Welcome to the HP community.

As a new guest to our community, I would advise the community search functionality, as it bears answers for most questions.

A quick search for the term "warranty" finds, as an example, this >Brand new desktop already out of warranty?<

One of our friendly volunteers explains exactly why this is happening

You can dispute your warranty with proof of purchase here:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2534210-1364541-16

If there is no Warranty Dispute Page for your region, you may need to reach out directly to HP support to correct this.

For Customers from India, please contact HP customer service beginning at the link below and submit a support request to have the warranty start and end dates adjusted to the date you purchased the PC.

Most of us are just volunteers here. This is just a Peer-to-Peer community forum only, and not HP Support

Best Regards

Hi @hari107,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that you purchased the laptop on 15-August-2026, but the HP warranty status is showing as expired on 21-July-2025.

To help us verify the warranty information and assist you further, please provide the following via private chat:

  1. A copy of the purchase invoice showing the date of purchase and the laptop's serial number.
  2. A clear photo of the serial number label on the back/bottom of the laptop.

Please make sure the serial number is clearly visible in both.

To access your private message, just click the little blue envelope icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile name. Alternatively, you can click on this link.

Once we have these details, we can guide you on the appropriate next step for correcting the warranty information.
