30 days have rolled by and no answer? I have a HP ENVY x360 -  15-u483cl with exactly the same error in the event log. Something seems to be missing.... like a driver? My HP support assistant says I'm good to go ...  with no new drivers available. Yet Windows 10 64bit disagrees.

Need some help here folks.

exactly. NO ANSWER OUT THERE?

Both running Windows 10 Home version 1511 in August and now updated to Win10 Home Anniversary Update 1607 in September Windows Update history showing almost a daily update for what seems to be the same issue:                              the two update entries are always repeated for Intel - Other hardware - Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Manager AND Intel - ... Thermal Framework Generic Participant. Absolute latest BIOS and Intel chipset software versions have been updated from HP Support to this HP Stream Notebook 13-c010nr (Energy Star) PC so I'm at a complete loss what else to investigate in order to resolve this issue HP.com appears to attach no importance to solving.

Hello Chimney_83 ,

thanks for your reply,

1- here is the product number : HP ENVY x360, S/N: 8CG53846MZ

2- Yes ,  I used HP assistant before, to update all my laptop drivers. ran some Win10 commands to scan the system health everything was fine. (all drivers are up to date)

3- I didn't change any thing on my laptop ,

for the remaning parts, I need to try

I think downgrading Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework may fix the issue. Hope so

UPDATE March 9, 2017 re HP STREAM 13

Perhaps it's a mere coincidence but noticing sudden interest in what I had long thought was a dead thread -- note, I have been receiving two unwanted, almost daily updates for Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework on this PC since upgrading Windows 10 HE version 1607 in September 2016 -- I checked my Windows 10 Update History today in Settings.

To my surprise I discover there have been no more almost-daily updates on this specific topic since February 24, 2017.

As I have used this HP Stream 13 occasionally since the start of 2017 this leads me to believe that a support engineer at either Intel or HP has tweaked something that has terminated what was, for me, a useless and endless update process.

I repeat that I have done nothing on this PC to affect this endless Intel Dynamic Platform update process.

I have this errorover a year since the last post, but your solutions offer me a bit of insight, since my batter is dead I will likely guess the dead battery is causing the issue, unless it's actually heat related? My screen goes black then the keyboard goes out sometimes pressing the power button will get me right back, just like it went to sleep. Everything I had open is still open, but tonight it did this it took several tries pressing the power button efore I could get it back on but as soon as I did windows shut down.

Just to be on the safe side I sprayed out the fan, cleared dust from the external cooler waited a few minutes logged back on and found this error along with a few errors for BTH drivers something about not working in low power mode, guess I should hurry up and buy a battery mine's been dead about two months. Now this is happening more frequently...
