HP ZBook Studio 15.6 inch G8 Mobile Workstation PC (3K0R8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

i use the zbook studio g8

it has 32 gbs of ddr4 i7 11850h and an rtx 3070

but theres one issue i noticed that for such a powerful workstation why do i experience lag in windows like when i ever i try to interact with the start menu or anything on the taskbar everything lags it lags once and then goes back to normal but if i dont interact with the taskbar for some time the lag comes back i also noticed that certain tasks get delayed in which they should happen quick also the biggest problem ive encountered is when it comes to youtube or any other streaming services or any website with videos they lag for some reason especially at 1080p and before you think its a wifi issue my wifi goes well above a stable 300 mbps and no other device in my household experiences this considering that my laptop has a 4k oled display not using it would be a waste ive also tried turning off graphics accelaration installing the latest drivers updating windows but nothing nothing seems to work and all of this happens ONLY when the laptop is on battery if i plug in the charger everything seems to be fine

Try these two steps:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Power & battery and set your power mode to Best performance rather than balanced or battery saver
  2. Open the Intel Graphics Command Center (search for it in the Start menu), Go to the System tab on the left, then click on Power. Locate Panel Self-Refresh and toggle it OFF for both On Battery and Plugged In states. Now, Disable Display Power Saving Technology (or Eco Power) in that same menu. Apply/Save setting if option available.

Now test
