Since my camera is not working (error 0xA00F4244), I tried all the solutions I found on the web and I also contacted Microsoft customer support, but even they couldn’t solve it and suggested I contact the manufacturer HP. I would like to request an updated driver for my laptop HP Windows 11 since there is only one driver for Windows 10.

Hi @Jessy243,
Thank you for the resposne.
Check Windows Update: Ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date. Sometimes driver updates are included in these updates. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Use HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant can help you automatically detect and download updates for your HP laptop.
- Ensure the HP Support Assistant is installed. If not, download it from HP's official website.
- Open HP Support Assistant, click on Updates and follow the on-screen instructions to install any available updates.
Manual Driver Installation:
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your laptop's model number, Pavilion Laptop 15-cs3xxx, and select Windows 11 as your operating system.
- If the camera driver is not listed for Windows 11, you can try downloading the Windows 10 driver and install it in compatibility mode:
- Right-click the driver setup file and select Properties.
- Under the Compatibility tab, check Run this program in compatibility mode and choose Windows 10.
- Click OK and try installing the driver.
Check Privacy Settings: Ensure that your camera is enabled in the privacy settings.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure that camera access is enabled.
Camera App Reset: You can try resetting the Camera app, which might fix any internal app-related errors.
- Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Advanced Options > Reset.
I hope this helps.
