Hi @mmj1946

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

To stop HP notifications on your Windows system, you can adjust settings for HP software and Windows itself. Here's how to do it step by step:

1. Disable HP Support Assistant Notifications

HP Support Assistant is often the source of pop-ups and alerts.

  • Press Win + S, type HP Support Assistant, and open it.
  • Click the Settings icon (top right corner).
  • Under Notifications, turn off:
    • Software updates
    • Messages from HP
    • Tips and offers

You can also uncheck Show taskbar icon if you want it hidden.

2. Turn Off Notifications via Windows Settings

This helps suppress system-wide alerts from HP apps.

  • Go to Settings → System → Notifications.
  • Scroll down to HP Support Assistant, HP Smart, or any other HP app.
  • Toggle them Off.

3. Uninstall Unused HP Apps (Optional)

If you don’t use certain HP utilities:

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  • Search for apps like HP JumpStart, HP Smart, or HP Privacy Settings.
  • Click the three-dot menu → Uninstall.

Let me know if you’d like help identifying which HP apps are safe to remove or if you’re seeing a specific notification that won’t go away.
