Whenever I try to adjust performance settings in the HP Omen Hub application, I get a random error, and the only way to fix it is by unplugging and plugging the power adapter back in. I'm using the original adapter and cable, and neither of them is defective, pls help me

@Zekun01, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing issues with the HP Omen Hub where adjusting performance settings causes a random error, and the only workaround is unplugging and replugging the power adapter. Let's work through this together.
Update Omen Gaming Hub and System Drivers
Outdated software or drivers can cause instability.
- Open Microsoft Store and search for Omen Gaming Hub. Click Update if available.
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and:
- Enter your product: Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000
- Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and graphics drivers.
Check Windows Power Settings
Ensure Windows isn't interfering with performance modes.
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options
- Select High Performance or HP Recommended
- Click Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings
- Expand Processor power management and set:
- Minimum processor state: 100%
- Maximum processor state: 100%
Reset Omen Gaming Hub
Corrupted settings can cause erratic behavior.
- Press Windows + I to open Settings
- Go to Apps > Installed apps
- Find Omen Gaming Hub, click the three dots > Advanced options
- Click Reset
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
To rule out hardware issues:
- Turn off the laptop
- Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Run the Power and System Board tests
Reinstall Omen Gaming Hub (if issue persists)
- Uninstall Omen Gaming Hub from Settings > Apps
- Restart your PC
- Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
