Hi @manusha028,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The description you provided indicates that the HP Pavilion laptop has touch support with 256 touch points, which suggests that it indeed has a touch screen. This means you should be able to interact with the screen using touch gestures, similar to how you would use a smartphone or tablet.
Regarding the issue with the backlit keyboard not working properly, there could be a few potential reasons for this problem:
- Software Settings: Sometimes, the keyboard backlight settings might be controlled through software settings. Make sure you check the keyboard backlight settings in the laptop's control panel or settings menu to ensure it's enabled and set to your desired level.
- Function Key: Many laptops have a function key (usually labeled as "Fn") that, when combined with a designated key (often an icon that looks like a sun or lightbulb), can control the keyboard backlight. Make sure you press the appropriate combination to toggle the backlight on or off.
- Driver Issues: Outdated or corrupted drivers can sometimes cause hardware issues. Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your laptop model, which can often be found on the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
