I purchased the program for $49 to tranfer info from old HP to new one. I cannot find any of the data files. Where would they have gone?

Hi @HelpPlease42,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty locating your data files after purchasing a program to transfer information between your old and new HP devices. Here are some general steps you might consider to locate your data:

Check Default Installation Folders: Many programs install data in default directories. For Windows, this might be within C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). Check these folders for directories related to the program you purchased.

Documents Folder: Sometimes, data files are saved in the Documents folder. Check C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents for any files related to the program.

Search by File Type: Use the search function in Windows to look for specific file types or names. For example, if you know the file extension of your data, you can search by that extension.

Program Interface: Check the program’s interface for settings or options that specify where data is saved. There might also be an “Open Recent” option or similar that provides information on recent file accesses.

Backup Locations: If you configured the program to save to a cloud service or external drive, check those locations as well.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
