I have searched the internet and found multiple users have raised issues with realtek rtl8852be-vs drop outs.  I have tried adjusting the power options, updating drivers etc.  However, nothing seems to work to have this wifi card functioning properly without ongoing drop outs.  I have starting a complaint on HP whatsapp group, but can anything else be done? I have purchased a wifi usb device that is much more stable, but it is just frustatraing to spend over $1000 on a laptop and not have it a basic function work properly.

I fixed my wifi random drops by installing an older Realtek driver: 6001.15.152.  It is in the HP package 1.0.0.248 Rev.S. I picked that one because that was installed when my wifi was stable. My problems started with the delivery of driver 6001.15.154.0 or 6001.15.155.1; I don't know which one but it broke a stable wifi. Drivers 155 and 6001.15.156.0  and did not fix the issue. I understand from this forum that there is a newer driver 158 available but until I see a reply saying it fixed the random wifi drop problem I'm going to stick with a stable older driver. It seems that they are introducing a problem and carrying it forward in subsequent releases. I have a hp 15-fc0093dx running windows 11 24h2 and I have the same Realtek adapter as you have.

Thanks Paul for the reply, yeah, the older driver did work generally better for me too, but still occasionally dropped.  The usb wifi connector (cheap from amazon) is much more stable, but download speeds are not as good.  But better than hanging websites.  I will give the HP whatsapp group credit, they were replying over the weekend to me to try different things.  I just wish I knew enough why my router 'talks' to other devices in the house and not this one.  Also checking with my ISP if I should get a newer router as this one is getting older, but still, they should make things just work these days.

Since you mentioned router I'll relate my first problem when I bought this laptop in Feb 2024. The system had random wifi drops when running on battery but not when running with the power adapter. Confusing because I have another hp laptop running windows 10 and it has a wifi 5 Realteck adapter (ac) and I never had a problem with that system. But I had an older Netgear wifi 4 compliant router. I found an old 2022 post on this site that had a similar issue. I replaced my router with a wifi 6 router and that fixed my random drops when running on battery. My theory is that wifi 6 introduced a feature called Target Wake Time (TWT) that is intended to improve battery life by reducing the amount of time the adapter searches for a wifi radio signal. That so called service time is negotiated between the router and adapter. And my guess is that TWT get turned off when running on the power adapter. You might try going to a place like a public library that has newer equipment and see if wifi is more stable; that might give you a clue.
