Hi @sameerpathan99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it must feel to lose the Screen touch driver  especially when your device’s touch functionality is essential.

Could you please share your HP laptop or tablet model number and the version of Windows you’re running?

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

01.Check Windows Updates

Windows often reinstalls missing drivers automatically through updates.

Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update

Click Check for updates

Install all the available updates

Restart your device after updates

02.Use Device Manager

You can manually reinstall the touch driver from Device Manager.

Press Win + X → Device Manager

Expand Human Interface Devices

Look for Sereen Touch Driver or similar

Right-click → Update driverSearch automatically for drivers

03.Download from HP Support

HP’s official support website provides model-specific drivers.

Visit https://support.hp.com/ → Drivers & Downloads

Enter your device’s model number

Download the latest touch driver

Install and restart your device

04.Run HP Support Assistant

HP’s built-in tool can detect and fix driver issues.

Search HP Support Assistant in Start menu

Open the app

Run a full checkup

Apply recommended updates

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
