I had no idea it took Hp so long to build a custom system. It's still processing from the 10th of this month?

Typical time to build a "CTO"  Custom-to-Order system is two weeks.

Even the "two week" time frame is dependent on the type of system being built.  For example, if the parts for your particular system are not available at the time your order is processed, there may be a delay.

Although we at the Community forum cannot help you with the details on your order, you can certainly contact HP if you have concerns.

Open the email titled "Your HP Order H### has been received" (replace the ### with your order number).

Scroll to the bottom > look for and click "My Order Status".

If you do not have the email described, or if your email lacks the contact link, you can contact HP through one of the links that are available in your email (there should be at least one).

The quality of information about the progress of CTO orders could be improved. On 2-17-2017 I ordered a Spectre x360 13t CTO, with an estimated ship date of 3-7-2017. On 3-8-2017 I received an e-mail from HP Store that "Due to extremely high demand, we have experienced a delay in the production process" and the new estimated ship date is 4-23-2017 (a slippage of seven weeks, with the new estimated ship date two and a half months after my order (and payment).

The letter from HP made several references to the busy holidays; apparently a template. But the last time I looked Christmas was two months ago.

It would be nice to know if a vendor/supplier had issues, or if there was a product design or manufacturing issue.

This just happened to me as well and it's nowhere near Christmas! Order date of 9/23. Was supposed to ship 10/13 (which is nearly 3 weeks after order already). After thinking it had already shipped, I received that same exact templated email on 10/16 saying it wasn't shipping until 10/27 now....nearly 5 weeks before any shipping time which I'm told could add another 6-10 business days on top. We're looking at 7 weeks. I would NEVER have made this purchase if I'd known it would be 2 months before I got my hands on my new laptop. I've looked all around the site and I see no fine print, no warnings, nothing that would even clue me in that this was going to take 2 months.

My current laptop is barely able to fire up now so I feel totally crippled. And ANGRY! Were you able to get any satisfaction from anyone at HP? I'm a stockholder and considering going on a letter writing rampage.....

I eventually cancelled the HP Store order and found my HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl012dx configured at Best Buy.

I thought it said about 5-7 days. When I checked it says the 30th of this month. They weren't honest about the date. I need a new laptop now.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
