Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello HP support,

 I have a HP Victus laptop named "Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0165TX"

The HP support assistant doesn't provide any driver upgrade, it says the device is up to date.

I am trying to manually install drivers. what i found on site is 5 options available for ssd upgrade with manufacturer name includes western digital,samsung and intel/solidgram.

i tried to find out my hp victus laptop ssd manufacturer name but i failed to do so. i couldn't find manufacturer name anywhere. without name i cannot progress in firmware upgrade. kindly let me know what exactly i have to choose for the firmware upgrade for my ssd i am attaching msinfo32 components-> disk   screenshot for u to identify the name.

thanks

Device Manager > Disk derive will tell you what it is.

Regards.

@ashishsingh1,

The model number in device manager indicates your M.2 NVMe SSD is made by Micron.

MTFDKBA512TFH-1BC15ABYY | Micron Technology, Inc. | Edge Electronics

Your notebook's drivers support page for SSD firmware doesn't list Micron products.

Since it's an OEM product, MIcron is not responsible to provide a firmware update.

we have no idea when HP releases a firmware update for your SSD.
