Hi @italy5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing battery-draining issues with your HP Victus laptop, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check your power settings: Make sure that your power settings are optimized for battery life. You can access these settings by clicking on the battery icon in the system tray and selecting "Power Options." From here, you can adjust settings such as screen brightness and power plan to maximize battery life.
  • Close unnecessary applications: Applications that are running in the background can drain your battery. Close any unnecessary applications or processes to conserve power.
  • Update your drivers: Outdated drivers can sometimes cause battery draining issues. Make sure that all of your drivers are up to date by checking the HP support website for any available updates.
  • Check for malware: Malware can cause your computer to use more resources, leading to increased power consumption. Use a reputable antivirus program to scan your computer for any malware.
  • Replace your battery: If your battery is old or damaged, it may not hold a charge as well as it used to. Consider replacing your battery if it is more than a few years old or if you notice that it is not holding a charge as well as it should.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
