I have a Victus 16-s0xxx laptop. I suddenly found today that my Bluetooth has disappeared. I searched ChatGPT for solution and it told me to delete the drivers in device manager so the laptop will reinstall them. I did so and it worked but it again disappeared later. I deleted the drivers again and restarted. But the drivers are still missing. I tried to find drivers on official hp website but I didn't manage to find my laptop version with windows 11 25h2. My Wi-Fi adapter is MediaTek Wi-Fi 6e MT7922.

Hi @Shri3434s,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.
To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?
When Bluetooth disappears, do you see any Bluetooth option in Device Manager (even hidden devices), or is it completely gone?
Did this issue start after a Windows update or BIOS/firmware update?
Are you using any external USB Bluetooth adapters, or only the built-in one tied to your MediaTek card?
Troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Show hidden devices in Device Manager: Sometimes Bluetooth gets disabled but still shows up under “Hidden devices.” Right-click in Device Manager → View → Show hidden devices.
- Check Windows Services: Press Win + R, type services.msc, and make sure the “Bluetooth Support Service” is running and set to Automatic.
- Update drivers via Windows Update: Go to Settings → Windows Update → Optional updates and see if any Bluetooth/MediaTek drivers are listed.
- HP Support Assistant: Install HP Support Assistant (if not already). It often detects missing drivers and pulls the right version for your exact model.
- BIOS update: Sometimes Bluetooth disappears due to firmware issues. Check HP’s support site for BIOS updates for the Victus 16-s0xxx series.
- Network reset: In Settings → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings → Network reset, this can refresh both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters.
Could you let me know if the Bluetooth toggle in Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & devices is completely missing, or if it’s there but just won’t turn on? That will help us figure out whether it’s a driver issue or a hardware detection problem.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!

Actually, I saw your reply and installed HP support assistant. It also updated my BIOS. Before this I had to view hidden devices in device manager to see Bluetooth devices which used to be grey colored (light colored). But after the update, Bluetooth is directly visible but only MediaTek Bluetooth adapter that keeps appearing and disappearing every few seconds. It almost seems as if its appearing and disappearing. I checked the settings, but I didn't find a Bluetooth button or setting related to Bluetooth.
Also, I have already tried all the recommended troubleshooting methods.
I hope you can find a solution to my dilemma.

Hi
Thanks for your response .
Let’s try a few deeper troubleshooting steps to isolate the cause.
1. Disable Power Management for the Adapter
Sometimes Windows aggressively powers down the MT7922 card.
- Open Device Manager
- Expand Network adapters
- Right‑click MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 → Properties
- Go to Power Management
- Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
- Restart the laptop
Even though Bluetooth is missing, this setting affects both Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth because they share the same module.
2. Reset BIOS Settings to Default
After a BIOS update, some wireless settings can become unstable.
- Restart the laptop
- Press Esc → F10 to enter BIOS
- Look for Restore Defaults / Load Setup Defaults
- Save and exit
This often stabilizes the wireless module after firmware updates.
3. Test in Windows Recovery Environment
This helps determine if the issue is software or hardware.
- Restart → hold Shift → choose Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings
- Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
Now check Device Manager:
- If Bluetooth still appears/disappears, it’s almost certainly a hardware issue.
- If Bluetooth stays stable, then a Windows service or driver is interfering.
If Wi‑Fi also starts dropping occasionally, that’s a sign the module needs replacement.
I hope this helps.
