Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i bought my laptop as windows 7 but i upgraded it to windows 10. Then the system started overheating and the battery i bought the laptop with was faulty so i replaced it but the laptop battery is very weak. in this sense what i'm asking  is that what can i do that can make it to stop overheating and having a weak battery. Also the laptop is running on an intel core 2 duo
