Retrieved Windows product key from BIOS , with this product key windows 8.1 not getting activate.

Hi:

 

You have to install the right version of Windows the key is good for.

 

Use the free showkey plus report that I zipped up and attached below and it will show you the product key and the version of Windows the key is good for.

 

The most common problem is you installed the regular version of W8.1 but the key is only good for W8.1 single language.

 

For problems like that, you have to go back and download the W8.1 single language ISO file and then it should activate.

 

If the product key is for W8.1 with Bing, unfortunately, that operating system is not available for download.
