@driveres, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing issues with your laptop's camera showing error 0xA00F4244 and the camera driver not appearing in Device Manager. Let's walk through the steps to resolve this:

Re-enable the Camera in Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Imaging Devices, Cameras, or Sound, video and game controllers.
  3. If you see your camera listed, right-click > Enable device.
  4. If it's not listed, click View > Show hidden devices.

Reinstall the Camera Driver

Since the driver is missing, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official HP driver page for your model:
    HP Pavilion 14-ec1000 Drivers
  2. Select your OS (Windows 11) if not auto-detected.
  3. Download and install the HP Webcam Driver or CyberLink YouCam Software if available.
  4. Restart your laptop after installation.

Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Download and run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support
  2. Run the Component Tests > Webcam Test to check hardware functionality.

Reset the Camera App

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  2. Search for Camera, click the three dots > Advanced options.
  3. Click Reset.

Optional: Use Windows Update

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  • Install any optional driver updates listed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
