Microsoft Windows 11

I have recently faced an issue with my Windows Hello settings.

I tried to setup facial recognition, but it gives a message that "we couldn't find a camera compatible with windows hello face.

I tried to fix it; I reinstalled the windows hello face driver.

But it couldn't work. Screenshot 2022-10-07 132953.png

Hello @Omkekan

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) <Windows hello> works with >>> IR ( Infrared ) camera only !

See:

HP Pavilion x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ek0000 series specifications

See section <Hardware>

I do not see any reference to IR

Webcam

HP True Vision 720p HD Camera with camera shutter, temporal noise reduction, and integrated dual array-digital microphones

Supported audio software:

Beam forming

Echo cancellation

Noise suppression

(2) Double Check Windows <device manager> -> Webcam

Kind regards

It's because the camera of some laptops is not compactable. Many laptops have ordinary face cameras but only cameras with Infrared face (IR) detection can help you with facial recognition.
