Hi @sungjinwoo101 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've been through a lot trying to troubleshoot this issue with your laptop's graphics performance. Based on your detailed description, it seems like the problem began after a Windows update, which may have affected the compatibility of your graphics drivers with your system.
Here are some steps you might consider trying to resolve the issue:
- Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates: Sometimes, system firmware updates can improve compatibility with newer versions of Windows and drivers. Check HP's support website for any BIOS updates for your laptop model and install them if available.
- Rollback Windows Updates: If the issue started after a specific Windows update, you could try rolling back to a previous version of Windows to see if that resolves the problem. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history > Uninstall updates.
- Driver Cleanup and Reinstallation: Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove any traces of your current graphics drivers, and then reinstall the recommended drivers from HP's website. Sometimes, remnants of old drivers can cause conflicts with new installations.
- Install Intel Graphics Drivers Manually: Instead of relying on HP's drivers, try downloading the latest Intel graphics drivers directly from Intel's website. Sometimes, OEM drivers may not be the most up-to-date or optimized for your system.
- Hardware Diagnostic: Run hardware diagnostics to ensure there are no underlying hardware issues causing the performance problems. HP usually provides built-in diagnostic tools that you can access during boot-up.
- Consider Hardware Upgrades: While not ideal, if all else fails, you may want to consider upgrading certain components of your laptop, such as adding more RAM or switching to a solid-state drive (SSD). These upgrades can sometimes improve overall system performance.

1- I have installed the latest BIOS/UEFI firmware update provided by the OEM for my product , Its version F.66 Rev.A it was released on 17th of May 2024.
2-I have already rolled back to Windows version 2004
3-I have tried clean installation of graphics driver using DDU every time I was testing graphics driver latest to old provided by both OEM and Intel
4- I tried all sorts of different graphics driver provided by my OEM
Graphics driver version
26.20.100.7637
26.20.100.7985
27.20.100.9664
30.0.101.2079
and drivers provided from intel
31.0.101.2128
31.0.101.2127
31.0.101.2125
31.0.101.2121
all of them were not able to fix my 1 fps issue and 1 fps system lag
some drivers like 31.0.101.2127 gave better performance , fixed my 1fps system issue and were able to load browser games without any 1 fps issue but when loading into pc games like minecraft , valorant, dota 2 or apex legends they started giving 1 fps issue
My laptop specs is intel i3 1005g1
intel uhd graphics (it shows only intel uhd graphics in task manager )
8 gb ram
1 tb hdd
my laptop very well meets the recommended requirements for playing games like
Valorant
Minecraft
Dota 2
and minimum requirements for playing
Apex legends
though apex servers are not very good so i dont care about apex for the time being if it is playable or not but i do care about other games
and also for my school work ms office
While typing in ms words or making a ppt , it randomly shows not responding for few minutes and then works just fine.
5- have ran all the hardware diagnostic , all tests were passed
6- I am not able to upgrade any hardware components at this moment
