15-au123cl broken left hinge... cracking keyboard at on/off button, w/ left side of screen becoming detached. I've read that the 15-au123cl is prone to having this problem. Is that true... and is there anything being done about it? I bought computer from Costco (April 2017), and i'm not sure if it's still under warranty. How can I get this problem fixed?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
