Hello everyone!
I have a HP 15-eg0070wm laptop that has USB-C. When I looked up the specs of the laptop it said that Display link was supported. I had a old Lenovo 40AY docking station that I figured I would try to use. I connect the docking station and everything works except for the displays. I have the dock connected to a wired LAN and I also have a wireless mouse and keyboard connected to it and all of that works perfectly. I have also tried connecting the same dock to a Mac as well as a surface laptop and everything has worked with no issues. On the HP i have updated the drivers, updated the BIOS, and even went as far as reinstalling the OS completely as I was having USB issues previously. But, unfortunately this did not solve the issue so I did a little more. I updated the firmware on the dock and also installed the dock's drivers with no luck.
I am wondering if I am missing something or if this dock just simply isn't compatible at all which would be a little odd. If this isn't compatible, then what kind of dock do I need to get? I would like to have two displays connected to the dock. I almost forgot, I connected the HDMI cable directly to the laptop and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me!
