Hi @saul44,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out! We completely understand how important screen resolution is for your work and comfort. It can feel limiting when you expect Full HD and only see HD options.

What We Found

We could not locate exact specifications for HP 15s-0028na or HP 15s-0004na in our current database. However, there is an updated model series called HP 15s-fq0000 Laptop PC (Product ID: 8TH59AV) that often comes up in similar queries.

Could you confirm if your laptop is part of the HP 15s-fq series? If yes, we can pull the exact specs and guide you on whether Full HD (1920×1080) is supported.

Why You See Only 1366×768

If your display panel is physically an HD panel (1366×768), Windows will only show that resolution; software cannot increase it beyond the panel’s native capability. To get 1920×1080, the laptop must have a Full HD panel installed.

Next Steps

  • Please confirm your exact model number (found on the bottom of the laptop or in HP Support Assistant).
  • If possible, share an image of the product label or the current display settings screen.
  • Once we have the correct model, we’ll:
    • Verify if your laptop supports a Full HD panel upgrade.
    • Provide HP’s official guidance on replacement options.

💡 HP Expectation: If the laptop shipped with an HD panel, the only way to achieve 1920×1080 is by replacing the display with a Full HD panel. HP can guide you on compatible parts and service options.

Take care and have an amazing day!
