Your machine could be one of the following machines
https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/hp-17.3-inch-laptop-pc-17-cp0000/2100371514/product-info
For example : HP Laptop 17-cp0001ca. Your machine should have SAME ports
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

No KVM switches and docking stations are not the same, they don't work as the same

Thank you for the reply. So to understand this, I would need to get a docking station to go into KVM switch. Or get a new laptop that has enough video output ports.
Although, this laptop does have another USB port that didn't work with the HDMI to USB adapter, so I got the HDMI to USB-C (since I like that style better). How do I figure out if I get a cable for HDMI to USB that that will work (other than just trying it)? Any specs or labels that will tell me this?
