I am trying to figure out if it’s possible to connect to three external displays (while keeping actual laptop screen off / closed). When I researched the graphics card on this laptop it appears 3 external displays is possible with some limited configurations per Intel’s website. However, that does not align with the ports on my laptop (doesn’t appear USB-C options are included in allowable configurations). I had three plugged in - via two USB-Cs and one HDMI, however only two will work at any given time.

I don’t mind purchasing adapters /docking station if needed but cannot figure out what I need to actually buy to make it work or if it is even possible. Any help would be greatly appreciate!! Thank you!!

Hello

I don't have an 1030 G3 to try, but if I not wrong, one of the two USB-C thunderbolt ports uses the same video channel of HDMI port, so you can't use HDMI and that USB-C TB port at the same time.

The only way I know to have 3 external display is to use an USB-C Dock G5 and enable a setting in the BIOS in order to driver up to 3 Full HD external displays.

bye
