I have the Victus by hp 15.6 in gaming laptop 15-fa100 laptop with a 13500h, 4050 discreet graphics card, 16gm ram that is connected to my monitor via HDMI using the 4050 dgpu. I use the "only show on second monitor option", meaning my laptop screen stays dark while the monitor displays everything.
It was all fine until suddenly the monitor crapped out on me while I was browsing, with the display reverting to the laptop's screen. I found the issue when I went to task manager. There, I found that it only had GPU 0, the integrated iris xe. It was missing GPU 1, my 4050. Similarly, the 4050 was also missing in the display adapters section of device manager. I found that checking the "show hidden devices" once again revealed my 4050 box along with a new box. In addition, I get the "no signal" error when I try to reconnect the HDMI cable for a tv, and the monitor. I think it's because I set the 4050 to handle external devices, and it is not connected to the laptop currently.
The first box, named Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, had error code 45 as the device status upon opening its properties.
The second box, named NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop Gpu, had the same error code. Their given locations were in the same place, PCI Slot 1, so I suspect they are kind of the same issue.
Error code 45 is below:
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
I couldn't download drivers because Nvidia couldn't find my 4050.
I haven't had a windows update for a couple of weeks, with only some random restarts every week or so. it was only today that the problem came. Do I have to open the laptop and manually reconnect my 4050? Would this void my warranty? Thanks in advance for any answers and replies.

Splendid analysis and remarkable patience were shown. It is immensely appreciated.
I recommend not opening the laptop and manually reconnecting my 4050, as that could brick if there is any miss.
